Eden Hazard appeared to confirm his Chelsea exit before the Europa League final to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-1 in Baku, with the Belgium captain scoring twice as he put in a dazzling display.
But before the game, the Blues’ talisman seemed to confirm it would be his last appearance for the club.
According to the Daily Mail, Hazard told Gabon international Aubameyang: “I gave my life, my legs, my buttocks, everything.”
Real Madrid still retain an interest in the 28-year-old, despite reports of talks between the two clubs ‘collapsing‘.
Chelsea are holding firm in their transfer evaluation of their star man, with the transfer saga seemingly set to drag on into the latter stages of the transfer window.
He also hinted heavily at his imminent departure after the game in Azerbaijan, suggesting he wanted a ‘new challenge’ after seven years in England.
During his time at Chelsea, Hazard helped the club win two Europa League titles, two Premier League titles and a League Cup.
“I think it’s a goodbye but in football you never know,” Hazard told BT Sport. “We will decide in a few days – the only target in my mind was to win this final. Maybe now it is the time for a new challenge.
“My dream was to play in the Premier League and I have done that for one of the biggest clubs.”
