Portsmouth have sold out their home end for the second leg clash against Sunderland next week

In a rematch of their Checkatrade Trophy final encounter, which Pompey won 5-4 on penalties in March, Sunderland will be looking for revenge.

As of Thursday, 21,747 home tickets had been sold for the first leg clash at the Stadium of Light.

Portsmouth’s allocation has been cut to 2,000 following crowd trouble when the two sides met last month after a Pompey supporter was arrested for throwing a flare at Sunderland supporters.

For the second leg, tickets in the home end at Fratton Park are sold out, while tickets for travelling Sunderland fans have yet to be released.

Charlton have sold out their allocation for their trip to the Keepmoat Stadium as over 3,700 fans will be cheering their team on.

Doncaster’s stadium holds 15,231 supporters, and while home tickets have not sold out, there is expected to be a packed crowd.

For the return leg, more than 20,000 tickets have been snapped up by Charlton fans, while Donny supporters will have the south stand to fill out.

Portsmouth, Sunderland and Charlton are regarded as huge clubs in League One, while Doncaster, who finished 15th last term, will relish their underdog tag.

It would not be a surprise to see the four play-off semi-final games draw the biggest-joint attendances in the competition.
