Manchester United’s problems this season have been well publicised as they finished a disappointing sixth in the Premier League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his work cut out during the summer to overhaul his squad and reports suggest he is close to his first signing – Swansea’s Daniel James.
Solskjaer can justifiably blame injuries for some of their poor performances as his squad had the most during the 2018/19 campaign.
SunSport revealed data, supplied by premierinjuries.com, that show the extent of the injury crisis suffered at Old Trafford last season.
The Red Devils had an astonishing 61 separate injuries between August 10, 2018, and May 12, 2019.
Tottenham were the closest club to them with 42 separate injuries during the same period, which makes Mauricio Pochettino’s achievement of getting to the Champions League final all the more impressive.
