Ederson is set to start ahead of Alisson for Brazil’s friendly against Panama on Saturday.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has been the Selecao No.1 during manager Tite’s reign and forced Ederson to watch from the bench at World Cup 2018.
But the Manchester City stopper will reportedly get the nod when Brazil host Panama this weekend.
It is the first of two friendly games for Brazil, who entertain England’s 2020 Euro qualifying opponents Czech Republic on Tuesday, live on talkSPORT 2.
The matches are part of their preparations for this summer’s Copa America.
Alisson’s status as Brazil’s No.1 has restricted Ederson to just three senior caps.
In October, Ederson praised his international team-mate when talking about their rivalry.
He said: “I think there is a lot of similarity between the two of us, he is having a very positive start to the season at Liverpool.
