Paul Pogba will be reportedly by offered the Manchester United captaincy as the club attempt to stop him joining Real Madrid this summer.
The French World Cup winner was stripped of his role as vice-captain by former manager Jose Mourinho back in September after saying he was unhappy with the attitude of the player.

With current club captain Antonio Valencia set to leave at the end of the season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to put Pogba in charge of Man United and hopes the added responsibility will ensure he regains his focus, according to The Mirror.
It is hoped Pogba will commit his future to United if given the armband as it will show him how much he is valued by the club.

Zinedine Zidane recently returned for his second spell as Real Madrid manager and Pogba admitted it would be a ‘dream’ to play under his fellow countryman.
“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone,” said Pogba. “It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

On Saturday, Pogba’s brace bailed out United as the Red Devils stuttered to a fortuitous 2-1 win over West Ham to keep the Old Trafford club’s top four hopes intact.
