Manchester United are a club once again caught in a state of flux, with a transfer revamp required once again this summer.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, United have appointed four permanent managers who have spent a combined £686.7MILLION to try and stop the rot.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has plenty to do this summer
However, with bitter rivals Manchester City and Liverpool threatening to leave the Red Devils in the proverbial dust, the situation at Old Trafford seems more desperate than ever.
Paul Pogba’s future at the club continues to get murkier by the day as his public flirtation with Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane begins to border on nauseating.

Paul Pogba could be set for a second acrimonious Manchester United exit
The France midfielder has admitted it would be a ‘dream’ to move to the Bernabeu, with Zidane doing little to stifle talk as the rumours begin to gather pace.
However, Solskjaer does look like embarking on a summer spree in order to cope with the loss of their mercurial midfielder.
According to The Sun, the Norwegian is ready to spend £330million in order to get United back to the top table of English football.
Swansea City forward Daniel James is reportedly closing in on a £15million move, while Ed Woodward is said to have promised the manager a marquee signing.

United have ‘agreed a deal’ with Paulo Dybala, according to reports
That could well be Paulo Dybala from Juventus, with former football journalist Ian McGarry telling The Transfer Window Podcast a €100million deal has been agreed for the Argentina international.
Reports also suggest Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes could be on his way to Manchester, although it is unclear if it is United or City the 31-goal midfielder will choose.
With an influx of so many signings, it is difficult to imagine how Solskjaer could assemble his new look side.
But fear not, talkSPORT.com has assembled a hypothetical staring XI for United next season with a host of potential new signings. Check it out below.

Kostas Manolas has been linked with a move to Old Trafford
Even though he has had a dip in form, David De Gea remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Having kept faith with the Spain No.1 throughout the season, it is unlikely Solskjaer will include De Gea in any exodus which may take place in the summer.
The full-back areas are also relatively well stocked for United, with Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot nowhere near the peaks of their careers. Dalot has shown incredible promise in a variety of positions this season, while Shaw was voted as United’s Player of the Season at their end-of-season awards.
One position the Red Devils must strengthen is at centre-back. Jose Mourinho tried, and failed, to bring in a marquee signing last summer but was ultimately thwarted in his attempts.
Roma colossus Kostas Manolas has a €36million release clause in his contract with the Serie A side and possesses the physicality and technical attributes to be a Premier League star.

Bruno Fernandes has enjoyed an incredible season in front of goal for Sporting
With Paul Pogba set to leave in the summer, Solskjaer knows he cannot repeat the mistakes of previous managers.
With Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini and Morgan Schneiderlin failing to deliver in the United engine room in the post-Ferguson era, a strong midfield is vital.
Scott McTominay has emerged as a real leader in the Red Devils team, with his manager likely to build a team around the 22-year-old. Similarly, Fred is showing glimpses of the player United spent more than £50million on last summer.
Having beaten rivals City last season to the Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder, Woodward will be hoping to repeat the trick and beat Pep Guardiola to the signing of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon. The 24-year-old has enjoyed an incredible season in Portugal.

James has been one of the Championship’s best players this season
This is an area United fans can seriously begin to get excited about. If Pogba leaves, it is likely the club will sanction the signing of similar stature and commercial lure to prove to the world they have global appeal.
Signing Dybala would be a real marker for the rest of the Premier League that the club are still serious players. At 25, the forward still has his best years ahead of him, but would need time to adjust from Serie A to the rigours of English football.
Although Daniel James is a signing for the future, the 21-year-old has shown in the Championship this season he has the potential to go right to the top. Blessed with blistering pace and an eye for goal, the comparisons with Wales wingers from past and present have already begun.
When Solskjaer took over, Marcus Rashford was one of the biggest beneficiaries from the man management style of the 46-year-old. Although his form has dipped of late, a summer break and a full pre-season could allow him to rejuvenate and get back to his very best in a red shirt.
